This short performance was co-directed by Jordi Latorre (live visuals), Mariona Moranta (who also created the choreography and dance), and nara is neus (who also performed the live music). This original piece was created for the Bivac Festival, held on November 28th, 2024, at the CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona). For its creation, the festival proposed the following premise: “How can we escape from a failing present?” The piece presents a discontinuous relationship between the visuals, electronic music (ranging from ambient to noise), and dance (modern/contemporary). In the case of the visuals, the aim was to generate a failed imitation of Mariona’s body through the creation of a digitized body that tries to resemble the real one but dissolves into the entropy of a digital, linear, and radiographic space.
